Free Essays on Jazz

Jazz is rooted in the mingled musical traditions of African Americans. These include traits surviving from West African music; black folk music forms developed in the Americas; European popular and light classical music of the 18th and 19th centuries; and later popular music forms influenced by black music or produced by black composers. Among the surviving African traits are vocal styles that include great freedom of vocal color; a tradition of improvisation; call-and-response patterns; and rhythmic complexity, both in the syncopation of individual melodic lines and in the conflicting rhythms played by different members of an ensemble. Black folk music forms include field hollers, rowing chants, lullabies, and later, spirituals and blues (see African American Music). European music contributed specific styles and forms: hymns, marches, waltzes, quadrilles, and other dance music, as well as light theatrical music and Italian operatic music. European music also introduced theoretical elements, in particular, harmony, both as a vocabulary of chords and as a concept related to musical form. (Much of the European influence was absorbed through private lessons in European music, even when the black musicians so trained could only find work in seedy entertainment districts and on Mississippi riverboats.) Black-influenced elements of popular music that contributed to jazz include the banjo music of the minstrel shows (derived from the banjo music of slaves), the syncopated rhythmic patterns of African-influenced Latin American music (heard in southern U.S. cities), the barrelhouse piano styles of tavern musicians in the Midwest, and the marches played by black brass bands in the late 19th century. Near the end of the 19th century, another influential genre emerged. This was ragtime, a composed music that combined many elements, including syncopated rhythms (from banjo music and other black sources) and the harmonic contrasts and formal p... Free Essays on Jazz Free Essays on Jazz â€Å"Dixie Jazz Band One-Step† and â€Å"Dippermouth Blues† are two recordings that are from the 1920s yet have remarkable differences between the two. The differences could stem from a variety of reasons such as differences in the ethnicity of the musicians and the artists that influenced the bands. â€Å"Dixie Jazz Band One-Step† was recorded in February 1917 by The Original Dixieland Jazz Band. The band features Nick LaRocca on cornet, Larry Shields on Clarinet, Eddie Edwards on trombone, Henry Ragas on piano, and Tony Spargo on drums. The band members were all anglo-saxon men who were from New Orleans but met in Chicago. The â€Å"Dixie Jazz Band One-Step† is a very fast and almost frantic song performed in a rag style. The drummer plays a boom-chick feel in many parts of the song but also plays the bass drum only on the down beats and uses wood blocks and cowbells for added percussion. The song was originally created by all the musicians improvising their individual parts and once it was written, the song was always played the same way. There are no long improvised solos in this piece. The instruments have very specific roles in this tune. The trombonist plays in the tailgate style, trying to make up for the lack of a bass player. The pianist franticly plays the chords to the song. The clarinet plays obbligato to the melody and handles the stop time fills while the cornet plays the actual melody. The song’s form is very repetitive and there is little difference between the repeats of sections. â€Å"Dippermouth Blues† is very different from â€Å"Dixie Jazz Band One-Step†. The instrument featured are the piano, trombone, trumpet, two cornets, bass, and drums. Two of the more obvious differences in the band are the woman piano player and all band members being of african-american descent. The most obvious differences in the songs are the form (this song is a 12 bar blues) and the time (this song is in 4/4). Some... Free Essays on Jazz The History of Jazz When it comes to music, most people don’t say they like it. People say they like heavy metal, pop, rhythm and blues, or any other type of music, since they have their own preference to what type of music they like, not just enjoying the broad area of music. One of those types of music, which many enjoy, is jazz. Actually right now jazz is really big and popular in Europe, and is rising in its popularity in the USA through its many forms. Jazz does have many forms, so many that some enjoyed bebop, ragtime, blues, or other types of jazz. Jazz has survived longer than many types of music, and it has always influenced the ways people involved in jazz compose or perform. It has also brought out many famous people. Although jazz is not the most influencing music currently in the nation, its history proves that it is great form of music with many origins, a multigenerational life span, numerous styles, many legendary musicians, and its own creative, independent interpretation. Jazz is over 100 years old, probably making it one of the longest lasting forms of music so far. Europeans did not create jazz; it was created by Afro-Americans who descended from ancestors in Africa. These Afro-Americans learned how to play these European instruments well, including percussion or the drum set, trumpet, cornet, saxophone, trombone, tuba and many other instruments. They wanted to show what they were like to other races, so they attempted to express themselves and their feelings through music and the instruments, which were so foreign to them. A lot of the music, which they played, came from folk music. Jazz did have a part of it come from Europe. The instruments of course, and the basic beginning forms of music helped jazz to be created. Another part of jazz, which is not of African origin, is improvisation, which is similar but has no melodic restrictions. Improvisation began with the Greeks and their musi... The world of music was expanding, sharing it’s enthusiasm throughout the world. The evolution of jazz aroused the curiosity of the nation. As Blacks received their freedom, they were able to express themselves as talented individuals. Certain blacks contributed immensely to the era of jazz, for example, Duke Ellington. Ellington entered a brand-new, exciting era as he grew up. As Ellington became an adolescent, the entertainment world was undergoing rapid, change. The change was driven by the deep, persuasive shift in the American spirit. The country was anxious to recover what it lost during the Depression. Ellington’s jazz creations were unknown and alien to the world, however, Ellington received the chance to succeed at the Cotton Club. The results of Ellington’s achievements at the Cotton Club were extensive, leading him to success and to national fame. The reasons for his outcome need to be revealed because Ellington was one of the most important figures in the era of jazz. During the Harlem Renaissance, some of the clubs were segregated and some mixed. The Cotton Club’s patrons were mostly whites and the club employed mostly blacks. The Cotton Club was the centerpiece of New York’s entertainment business. It was the springboard to fame for many singer, dancers, and performers and was indeed the board Ellington jumped from. The club management decided what audiences wanted to see in their clubs. As a result of the Harlem Renaissance and the growing interest in black entertainment, audiences enjoyed watching the many talented black performers. To have such a name as the Cotton Club brings to mind images of the Old South. The Most Intelligent Social Promotion Tool Youll Ever Use - CoSchedule

The Most Intelligent Social Promotion Tool Youll Ever Use You + social automation have a love/hate relationship†¦ You love the idea of setting up a social campaign ONCE and letting it run on autopilot†¦ (while reaping the amazing benefits of a consistent, relevant, and timely social schedule) BUTlet’s be real. Your â€Å"social automation reality† looks more like: running to delete those 15 identical messages that just spammed your FB, Insta, and Pinterest audiences†¦ doing damage control when that poorly timed, â€Å"Why Prince Is Overrated† post went out the weekend of his memorial celebration (facepalm) †¦and working overtime when those â€Å"make life easier† auto-schedule messages trumped  your more relevant and timely campaigns. You see, here’s the problem: Most social automation doesn’t take into account the intelligent (or maybe not so intelligent) beings around them. They can’t react, recalibrate, or anticipate changes. They don’t KNOW  when to send messages (at the most optimal times) And quite franklythey’re just dumb. Which is why we created ReQueue, the only social automation tool with built-in intelligence. Say goodbye to spamming your audience†¦ Duplicate posts†¦ AND badly timed social campaigns! With ReQueue, you really can streamline your social strategy Cos’ unlike other social automation tools, ReQueue interacts with the rest of your social schedule. It takes into account everything you’ve got on the calendar, promotes your content at the most optimal times, AND recalibrates when you’ve got other campaigns going out at the same time (no duplicate efforts)! This Is The Most Intelligent Social Promotion Tool Youll EVER UseWIth ReQueue, you can: Set it forget it (with confidence).  Social automation is supposed to simplify your life (not add work to it). With ReQueue- the ONLY intelligent social automation tool on the web- you can set your best social messages on autopilot, and know with confidence your messages are sent to the right places (at the right time)with minimal effort. Automatically re-use your best social messages (without the manual work). ReQueue fills in the gaps of your daily schedule with real smarts, not  manual guesses! It takes into account your entire social schedule, uses Best Time Scheduling intelligence to promote your messages at the most optimal times AND intelligently finds the gaps in your schedule (so you don’t have to). Get more mileage out of your messages. The average lifespan of a single social message is mere minutes, so why are you only sharing it once? Craft your messages, add them to ReQueue, and let re-share them at the most optimal posting frequency. So, no matter what you’ve got on the roadmap, rest assured, your social schedule is always timely, always relevant†¦ and always intelligent. Set It Forget It (With Confidence) You’ve heard stories about #automation fails (or worse, experienced one yourself!) *Think Roomba + Dog Poop disaster circa 2016* And the worst part of the #automation fail isn’t necessarily the fail itself†¦ (although, ew†¦) It’s that someone PAID for something that was supposed to make their life easier. When in reality†¦ It only made things a million times more complicated. 😕 Automation is supposed to simplify your life†¦ (not add work to it) Which means the same sentiment should hold true when it comes to automating your social media! With ReQueue- the ONLY intelligent social automation tool on the web- you can set your best social messages on autopilot, and know with confidence your messages are sent to the right places (at the right time)with minimal effort. ReQueue:The Basics No one likes to page through setup manuals larger than college textbooks†¦ #snoozefest If automation is supposed to make your life easier†¦ it should be easy to set up AND even easier to understand how it works! So before we dive right in, here’s a high level overview of ReQueue (aka the basics) for you skimmer’s out there: Schedule social messages directly on your calendar. Add your best messages to ReQueue for reuse later on. ReQueue automatically fills gaps in your social schedule. ^^Easy, right? And now that you know the basics, let’s run through *exactly* how to set up ReQueue! 👠 How To Setup ReQueue Because automation should be all about keepin’ it simple here are the seven  (not one hundred million *cough*) steps it takes to set up ReQueue: Step One: Enable ReQueue on your calendar. Step Two: Select your sending frequency  (when you want ReQueue to fill in the gaps in your social schedule). Step Three: Decide message sending limits  (how often you want ReQueue to reuse a specific message in a month). Step Four: Select the social profiles  you want ReQueue to use and how often you want messages to send from each profile. Step Five: Create your ReQueue groups  (use these to organize your ReQueue messages into categories). Step Six: Add some high-performing messages to ReQueue. (More on that later). Step Seven: And finally†¦.set it and forget it! ^^Yep. Set it and FORGET IT. Because ReQueue is more than just an automation tool that’s easy to setup†¦ it’s also SMART. It talks to your social strategy, and then recalibrates! Which means you don’t have to constantly check in and make sure it’s still working correctly. Saving you time†¦ AND your sanity. #boom And now that you know how to setup ReQueue (knowing it won’t suddenly malfunction if you step away for two seconds) †¦you can *FINALLY* streamline your social strategy + focus on the important stuff (thanks to SMART automation that won’t let you down). Automatically Re-Use Your Best Social Messages (Without The Manual Work) Remember when you bought a tool that was *supposed* to make your life easier? AKA the â€Å"automatic tool† you bought solve a problem†¦ Was going to require A TON of manual work on your end. *insert headache here* Which is why we created ReQueue a tool that actually  makes your life easier†¦ WITHOUT the manual work! How ReQueue Fills In The Gaps Here’s the three-step breakdown: ReQueue looks at your ENTIRE social schedule. ReQueue uses Best Time Scheduling (more on that later) intelligence to promote your messages at optimal times. And finally, ReQueue uses that information to intelligently find the gaps in your schedule + fills ‘em (so you don’t have to). Now for a little more info on Best Time Scheduling. ðŸ™Å' Best Time Scheduling is a tool that knows the â€Å"best† time to send messages based on when it will get the most engagement. It was created by analyzing best practices from hundreds of the world’s best marketers, critically assessing the rules + strategies for every social platform, and testing out the perfect times to send a message. AKA, it’s a tool created + tested by marketers backed by REAL data. But once you’ve sent them out They quickly  drop into social media oblivion (aka the very bottom of a newsfeed)†¦ †¦just hours or even minutes  after they are posted. The average lifespan of a single social message is mere minutes, so why are you only sharing it once? Well, thanks to your favorite social automation tool†¦ You can craft social messages, add them to ReQueue, and let re-share them at the most optimal posting frequency! Latin America Conflicts Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words

Latin America Conflicts - Essay Example Latin America has seen everything- from conquests, through colonization and revolutions and to modern day violence- all of which has played a major role in various stages of its advancement (2001). In this paper, we shall discuss how the abuses committed by foreign invaders – first the Spaniards, then conquer of Veracruz by France and ultimately the imperial rule imposed by the United States has shaped the history of Latin America (L.A). The two biggest empires of Latin America, Aztec and Incas, were conquered and exploited by the Spaniards. Hernan Cortes and Francisco Pizarro respectively were the main leaders of the Spaniards behind the conquests of these two large empires. Cortes who was a Spanish conquistador had attacked the city of Aztec with a small troupe of 600 men and had successfully captured the whole empire that consisted of ten thousand warriors. Cortes way of conquest has always been described as ruthless, guile and violent. Cortes audacious and unscrupulous def eat of Aztecs had left behind a trial of bloodsheds and had also inspired many Spaniards to follow his footsteps. One of them was Pizarro who undauntedly followed the Cortes policy of dividing the native population against one another and exploiting traditional enmities (Minster,n.d). Pizarro along with his four brothers and a small group of just 2000 men and 65 soldiers had tactfully captured the city of Incas which had an army of 30,000 soldiers. He like Cortes had used audacious and ghastly ways to defeat Incas. Many conquistadors soon followed in the footsteps of Cortes and Pizarro to invade Latin America and handicapped it through bloodshed and violence (M.Fisher & K.Fisher, 2000). More so , to add to the misery of the local people the conquistadors further tortured them by making them slaves. The native population started disappearing due to conquistadors continued torture. These empires had been conquered by the conquistadors, mainly with the aim of acquiring large volumes of wealth and humungous profits. But as the local population started disappearing and only a small population was left to do the work, the Spaniards turned to African slaves. These slaves faced torture, racism attacks, and abuses by the Spaniards which further increased the repression in these countries and later on led to rebellionism and revolution over here. With the discrimination of people according to races -on top were the whites, then the mestizos, the blacks and then the indigenous people further intensified the urge of the native people to rebel and consequently led to the revolutions which shaped the future of Latin America over the centuries (Chasteen, 2001). The spread of the news of revolutions across the world like the American Revolution, the French revolution and more closely the revolution in Caribbean, woke up the people of Latin America and ignited the spirit of anti-colonialism in them. The history of Latin America was not without blood and fire which can easily b e established through the revolution which happened in Mexico. The people of Latin America were segregated into the classes of rich and the poor by the Spaniards. During colonialism, wealth and race played an important role in shaping the society. The basic reason to classify the people was to separate â€Å"the whitest of the white from those who already lost some of the

Revenue allocation Essay Example for Free

Revenue allocation Essay Revenue means income. Allocation means to divide. Revenue allocation is defined as the division of available resources within an organisation or company. At a broader level, it is the process of assigning a cost to the amount of services and products generated. Government revenue is obtained from taxes, licenses and fees and allocated to public facilities. Because of the current revenue allocation formula In Nigeria, though there is a great deal of wealth In the country from the oil Industry, 64% of the population lives below the poverty line. While the federal government akes over half of all the money In the Nigerian federal account, little has been done to promote welfare and development projects that would benefit the general public. According to the Nigerian Revenue Moblllzatlon Allocation and Fiscal Commission, a new revenue allocation formula Is In the works, but It remains to be seen If these measures are enough to remedy the problem. When Nigerias maverick CBN Governor recently In an Interview Justified the sadlstlc, sub-human and horrific terrorist activities going on In the North of Nigeria by attributing It to the fact that 011 evenue was being unfairly shared on the basis of derivation primarily instead of population which is the Norths competitive advantage, I was shocked that such a flawed argument could come from such a respected Nigerian whose controversial reform of the Nigerian banking sector has won him praises and awards locally and internationally. SLS traced the root cause of terrorism in the North to grinding poverty in the North which he claims was caused by Nigerias use of the derivation principle instead of population as the primary yardstick for allocating revenue among he states. He believes that this preference for the derivation principle has short- changed the North and disadvantaged it. I totally disagree with SLS and will articulate in this article my reasons for disagreeing with him and my suggestions on the way forward for Nigeria using history as a guide to arrive at what I believe is a Just solution that will be favourable to all.

La Montagne SainteVictoire :: Essays Papers

La Montagne SainteVictoire 1887 Paul Cezanne created the painting â€Å"La Montagne Sainte-Victoire† in 1887. The painting consists of the actual mountain of Sainte-Victoire as the dominant feature of the landscape. Cezanne’s hometown, Aix-en-Provence, is in front of the mountain. The painting begins with a view above the town looking in between two branches. The branch on the left side of the painting shows its base as you look on the left side of the painting. Cezanne had painted this scenario on many different occasions. The interesting patterns of the fields, houses, and trees help give a feeling of permanence to the mountain. Cezanne had a very interesting technique to the world at his time. Although this painting looks very old fashioned, at the time it was fresh and full with energy which inspired many painters to follow him. The lighting of this painting is very light. For the most part, the only dark elements of this painting are the tree branches and trunk. The leaves from the branches become brighter as they grow from the stems. The town of Provence as well looks bright as it appears to be a sunny day. The brightest part of the painting is in the middle of the painting, which consists the mountain. Many different shades go throughout the mountain, but it has a glow element to it. The ridges of the mountain have a darker touch. There are not many different colors to this painting. The main color of this painting is green which helps exemplify nature at its best. The green leaves from the trees as well as from the city below help capture the beauty of this view. The shades of blue of the sky provide the painting with a bright glorious day that would be perfect to paint. The colors of the mountain help blend in with the sky as the only thing that helps to divulge them from one another are the mountain ridges. She used renewal strategy to differentiate her show from other day time talk shows. She moved away from thrilling and controversial stuff and started using more positive topics. She began to focus on promoting constant inspiration and personal and professional growth. The main targets are women ages18 and up but Oprah is not shying away from male's listeners either. Several of her shows were done specifically for men or were focusing on men's issues. Her show began to feature poetry, music, literature, as well as human issues, which helped to create much stronger relationship with her audience. To expand her audience, Oprah added to her repertoire Oxygen Media a cable channel, O – The Oprah Magazine, and the Oprah's Book Club on-air reading club. All of these medias have the same core value – they all promote personal growth and share the life-enriching mission and message of the founder and guiding force of HARPO Productions Inc. – Oprah Winfrey. The fundamental believe of HARPO Productions Inc. is that media can make a positive difference and that individuals can change the world for better place. This includes the definition of social responsibility â€Å"to do the right things and act in ways that are good for society†. (textbook, pg 93) Some of the examples of making the world a better place are topics related to spirit, health, relationships, books, money, world, and community. For instant: Oprah is reaching out to her audience with plea to help children of abuse. She â€Å"initiated The National Child Protection Act†(www. fundinguniverse. com) in 1993, the Oprah Bill, which established a â€Å"national database of all convicted child abusers. † (www. fundinguniverse. om) Several of her shows were done on catching predators, child molesters, convicted child sexual offenders, and interviews with detectives and police officers dealing with this particular issue were Oprah asked her audience to help to catch these fugitives. The viewers respond was enormous because her listeners are mainly women and moms and for them the number one priority is the safety of their children. Another example would be the creation of â€Å"Oprah's Angel Network† where Oprah is encouraging her audience to do charitable work (volunteer for Habitat for Humanity) and make â€Å"charitable financial contributions†(www. fundinguniverse. om) for example to provide scholarships for college students. Oprah understands that not everybody have means to help financially and therefore according to Look to The Stars, The World of Celebrity Giving â€Å"Oprah gave 300 members of her audience $1000 each to donate to a charity of their choice. † Also, she encourages her viewers to help out in their own communities by donating time and skills. There is no surprise why in 2004, Oprah Winfrey show became the top-rated day time talk show for 17 years with 48 million viewers, or why she was awarded with â€Å"Favorite Talk Show Host† at the 30th Annual People's Choice Awards that year. The HARPO Productions Inc. Strategic Management Process of identifying companies mission, goal and strategy was extremely successful. According to â€Å"HARPO Creative Works† the â€Å"mission statement for Oprah Winfrey Show is to use television to transform people's lives; to uplift, entertain and enlighten; to make viewers see themselves differently; and to bring a sense of fulfillment into every home. † If Oprah didn't change the curse her show was heading, she would be probably stuck somewhere in between all the other similar day time talk shows as Maury Povich show or Martha Stewart show. This is exactly why HARPO Productions Inc. has been so triumphant. HARPO Productions Inc. competitive strategy is to be significantly different. Oprah successfully managed to differentiated her talk show from all the other shows that use scandalous, shallow, and sensational topics. She became an icon and yet stayed approachable at the same time. According to â€Å"Syndication’s Stars: Trustworthy And Influential† the â€Å"Influential Personality Index† illustrates how far ahead from other competitors Oprah's personality ranked. Influential Personality Index Oprah Winfrey 554 Dr. Phil McGraw 306 Tyra Banks 236 Judge Cristina Perez 235 Ellen DeGeneres 223 Judge Lynn Toler 215 Judge Joe Brown 208 Judge Judy Sheindlin 195 Rachael Ray 187 Regis Philbin 186 The undeniable bond between her and her audience based on trust, honesty, and truth ensures loyal viewers. Moreover; the fact that Oprah shares her personal life, her personal struggles and AHA moments with her audience makes her even more human and real, therefore; her audience can relate, which creates even stronger connection in between the two. There are not that many talk show hosts that reveal the true ups and downs of their personal lives to their viewers. For example Martha Stewart is a convicted felon which makes her a less trustworthy as a role model. The strong connection is not limited to only U. S. audience. The Oprah Winfrey Show is available to over 120 countries worldwide. Some of the episodes focus on global issues and perspectives, which would be another area where Oprah show is differentiating itself from the other shows. The geocentric attitude episodes are focusing on women and the lifestyle in different countries, probable issues and problems women have to face on everyday basis, but also what might be enriching for U. S. women when they see what other cultures do, don't do, or do differently. For that matter the show features â€Å"the world's most engaging guests from the famous to everyday people all changing the world in which we live. † (harpocreativeworks. tv/info) Oprah is reaching out to every home on the planet with the mission â€Å"to make viewers see themselves differently; and to bring a sense of fulfillment. â€Å"(harpocreativeworks. tv/info) There is no other show that does that. The purpose of each show is to inspire the audience and let each message provoke an actions. The talk show host Oprah Winfrey with her dynamic personality has an unique power of â€Å"Magic Touch†. She can turn books into bestsellers, every product mentioned on her show experiences rocketing sales. According to Latif Lewis' article from Daily Finance â€Å"an appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show [illustrates] just how influential the media mogul can be on product sales†¦Ã¢â‚¬ ¦Ã¢â‚¬ ¦. It's quite amazing, the effect that a vote of confidence from one human being can have† on success of single product or business as a whole. Moreover; Oprah's enormous competence consists in turning â€Å"no names† into a brand names. The article of Latif Lewis, â€Å"Oprah's magic touch can make or break your business† talks about Lisa Price and her â€Å"beauty and skin-care line† and how this not so known beauty products had a very valuable promotion: â€Å"an appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show†. After that, Lisa Price was experiencing extremely high demand for her products. She made some financial deals and her â€Å"company took off. Carol's Daughter stores can now be found in several U. S. states and the products are carries in retailers like Sephora and Macy's†.

Chemotherapeutic Agents of Control

Chemotherapeutic Agents of Control: Introduction: Chemotherapeutic agents are chemical substances used to treat various forms of infectious diseases. The chemotherapeutic agent works by stopping the bacteria from reproducing. There are two different kinds of chemotherapeutic agents. The first kind is an antibiotic, which slow down the growth of microorganisms. The second kind of chemotherapeutic agent is synthetic drugs. Synthetic drugs are artificially made in a laboratory. Chemotherapy began in the 1940s and is now a multi-billion dollar industry.Different antibiotics and synthetic drugs all have different modes of actions and can have several different possibilities of side effects. Antibiotics work by finding something in the pathogen that is different in the host cell and attacks it to stop the pathogen from reproducing and causing more harm. The side effects can range from loss of hearing all the way to discoloration of the teeth. Some may take these drugs and have no side effe cts at all except to obtain better health. While others may no receive any good from the medication and have horrible side effects. The mode of action also has a wide range of possibilities depending on which drug is taken. The mode of action can range from inhibition of the cell wall all the way to destruction of the cell membrane and much more. Each and every chemotherapeutic agent varies with their antimicrobial activity. This is needed because every disease is very different. Purpose: The purpose of this experiment is to determine that different chemotherapeutic agents are needed to treat different kinds of diseases.Since there is a wide range of possibilities this experiment is needed to determine which medication is best for certain types of microbial metabolism. This way we can evaluate the antimicrobial’s reaction to different chemotherapeutic agents. What reaction will the antimicrobial have on the chemotherapeutic agents that will be used in this experiment? Hypothes is: All chemotherapeutic agents will affect the antimicrobial, although one chemotherapeutic agent will be much more effective than the other chemotherapeutic agents.Expectations: I expect one chemotherapeutic agent to be much more effective on this certain culture. This will be the best chemotherapeutic agent to treat this certain antimicrobial disease. Materials: Petri dish Sterile cotton swabs Culture (Escherichia coli, Serratia marcescens, Bacillus subtilis, Enterobacter cloacal, Staph epidermidis) Antibiotics (Streptomyocin, SSS, Erythromycin, Chloram Phemicol, Kamamycin, Novobiocin, Textra Cycline, Penicillin) Sharpie Bunsen burner Forceps Millimeter ruler

Dà ³nde Deben Los Expatriados Enviar Las Planillas De Impuestos Es posible utilizar internet recurriendo a Freefile.

Quality Management Assessment Summary Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words

Quality Management Assessment Summary - Essay Example stomer’s expectations, quality management programs are put in place to ensure that services rendered to customers meet the suggestions brought forth by customers through suggestion boxes and social network forums. Quality management assessment is also carried out to identify problems facing various departments of the hospital. This purpose is achieved because in the course of assessing staff and departmental heads for the quality of service they render, the opportunity comes for management to know common areas that staff normally falls short – therefore common problems of the hospital. Quality management assessment also paves way for building strong commitment among workers. The commitment building sets in as employees are constantly assured that management are concerned about their problems and take steps towards solving. Finally through quality management assessment, opportunity is created to promote open decision-making among workers of the hospital because quality m anagement assessment is conducted in a democratic and open manner where all workers are given the opportunity to bring on board problems that face them in their departments. Quality management assessment has several components that come together to make the phenomenon more of a process rather than an event. Because it is a process, quality management assessment comes with a number of key concepts. Three of such concepts are that quality management assessment applies analytical tools, uses process techniques and integrates other management concepts. Kaluzny, McLaughlin and Simpson (1992) notes that quality management assessment employs analytical tools â€Å"such as flow and statistical charts and check sheets, to gather data about activities within an organization.† This means that quality management assessment opens itself up to quantitative analysis that makes results gathered from quality management assessments very empirical and reliable. On process techniques, there is always the adoption of
